The Finance Assistant will be tasked with several key responsibilities, including:
- Income Handling: Securely managing, recording and banking the Trust’s income from various sources to ensure compliance with all financial schedules and deadlines.
- Accurate Recording: Diligently recording income received directly into the Trust’s bank accounts, identifying and correcting errors and discrepancies as they arise.
- Losses and Compensation: Accurately documenting items in the losses and compensation payment register; assisting with monthly and annual reconciliations and submissions to ensure accurate reflection of the Trust’s financial status.
- Compliance: Adhering to the Trust’s Standing Financial Instructions.
- Documentation: Filing source documentation according to departmental procedures, ensuring that materials are easily retrievable when needed.
- Cash Office Coverage: Providing backup for the Cash Office as necessary.
